The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
