Hizb 46

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 When he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden, 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship whereas the jinn assuredly know that they are to be brought up 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
