Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Blessed be He in whose Hand is the Kingdom, He is powerful over all things, 1 Who created death and life that He may try you-- which of you is best in deeds; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving, 2 who created seven heavens one upon another. Thou seest not in the creation of the All-merciful any imperfection. Return thy gaze; seest thou any fissure? 3 Then turn back the eye again and again; your look shall come back to you confused while it is fatigued. 4 We have adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and We made them a stoning for the satans, We have prepared the punishment of the Blaze for them. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord will be the torment of Hell; and a hapless destination! 6 When they are cast into it, they will hear it roar and raging 7 It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast therein, its keeper will ask: "Did no warner come to you?" 8 They will say: "Yes indeed; a warner did come to us, but we belied him and said: 'Allah never sent down anything (of revelation), you are only in great error.'" 9 And they will say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we would not have been among the dwellers of the blazing Fire!" 10 Then they will confess their sin. So, away with the dwellers of the blazing Fire. 11 Lo! those who fear their Lord in secret, theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward. 12 And keep your opinion secret or proclaim it, lo! He is Knower of all that is in the breasts (of men). 13 Can He who has created not know (His creation)? He is all-penetrating, all-aware. 14
