Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
