Al-Shooraa 4 of 5
Whatever misfortune befalls you is a consequence of your own deeds. But much of it He forgives. 30 You are not able to frustrate Him in the earth; and, apart from God, you have neither protector nor helper. 31 And of His signs are the ships that run on the sea like landmarks; 32 Had He wanted, He could have stopped the wind and let the ships remain motionless on the surface of the sea, in this there is evidence (of the Truth) for all those who are patient and grateful, 33 or He may cause them to founder because of people's misdeeds, He pardons many of them, 34 And (that) those who dispute about Our communications may know; there is no place of refuge for them. 35 Whatever ye are given (here) is (but) a convenience of this life: but that which is with Allah is better and more lasting: (it is) for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord: 36 who refrain from heinous sins and gross indecencies; who forgive when they are angry; 37 and who respond to [the call of] their Sustainer and are constant in prayer; and whose rule [in all matters of common concern] is consultation among themselves; and who spend on others out of what We provide for them as sustenance; 38 And those who, when an oppressive wrong is done to them, they take revenge. 39 The recompense for evil will be equivalent to the deed. He who pardons (the evil done to him) and reforms himself, will receive his reward from God. God certainly does not love the unjust. 40 And whoso defendeth himself after he hath suffered wrong - for such, there is no way (of blame) against them. 41 blame attaches but to those who oppress [other] people and behave outrageously on earth, offending against all right: for them there is grievous suffering in store! 42 But indeed if any show patience and forgive, that would truly be an exercise of courageous will and resolution in the conduct of affairs. 43

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
