▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But for him who lived in awe of the sublimity of his Lord, there will be two gardens -- 46 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 47 [two gardens] of many wondrous hues. 48 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 49 In both of them are two fountains flowing. 50 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 51 In them there are pairs of each kind of fruit. 52 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 53 Reclining upon the couches lined with silk brocade, and the fruits of the two Gardens will be near at hand. 54 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 55 In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinni - 56 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 57 [There will be] maidens as fair as corals and rubies. 58 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 59 Can the reward of goodness be any other than goodness? 60 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 61 And besides these shall be two gardens -- 62 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 63 Of darkest verdant green -- 64 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 65 therein two fountains of gushing water -- 66 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 67 In both gardens there will be fruits, palm-trees, and pomegranates 68 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 69 In them good and comely maidens -- 70 jinn and mankind - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 71 houris, cloistered in cool pavilions -- 72 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 73 [companions] whom neither man nor invisible being will have touched ere then. 74 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets. 76 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 77 Blessed is the Name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Grace. 78
