Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 it is not a jest. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
