Behold, thy Lord called Moses: "Go to the people of iniquity,- 10 the people of Pharaoh, who refuse to be conscious of Me!" 11 He said: "O my Lord! I do fear that they will charge me with falsehood: 12 and then my breast will be straitened and my tongue will not be free: send, then, [this Thy command] to Aaron. 13 They hold a sin against me, and I fear that they will kill me' 14 He said: By no means, so go you both with Our signs; surely We are with you, hearing; 15 Go to Pharaoh, both of you, and say, 'We are messengers from the Lord of the Worlds: 16 that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'" 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 Yet you committed the deed you did, surely you are one of the ingrates." 19 (Moses) replied: "I did do that and I was in the wrong, 20 “I therefore went away from you as I feared you – so my Lord commanded me and appointed me as one of the Noble Messengers.” 21 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? 22 Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? 23 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty." 24 Pharaoh said to those around him, "Did you hear?" 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 (Pharaoh) said: 'Surely, the Messenger who has been sent to you is mad!' 27 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the east and the west, and all that is between them, if you did but understand!" 28 (Pharaoh) said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. 29 He said: even though I bring unto thee something manifest? 30 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Bring it forth then, if you are of the truthful!" 31 So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it was white unto the beholders. 33
