3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
