Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul. 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30
