Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 And when souls are united, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 The closing night, 17 And the breath of morning 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
