Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By the snorting chargers, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
