Blessed be He who, if He pleased, could give you better than that, -- gardens with rivers flowing by; and make palaces for you. 10 They deny the Hour of Doom so We have prepared for them a burning fire. 11 When it sees them from a far off place, they shall hear it raging and sighing. 12 When they are thrown, bound, into a narrow place therein, then only will they wish for their death. 13 It will be said “Do not pray this day for one death – and pray for many deaths.” 14 Say, "Which is better, this or the Paradise of immortality which the righteous have been promised? It is their recompense and their destination." 15 For them therein is whatever they wish, [while] abiding eternally. It is ever upon your Lord a promise [worthy to be] requested. 16 Upon the day when He shall muster them and that they serve, apart from God, and He shall say, 'Was it you that led these My servants astray, or did they themselves err from the way?' 17 They will answer: 'Exaltations to You. We should not have taken others for a guardian, but You gave them and their fathers enjoyment until they forgot Your Remembrance and they were a destroyed nation' 18 “So the deities have belied what you state – so now you can neither avert the punishment nor help yourself; and whoever among you is unjust, We shall make him taste a terrible punishment.” 19 And all the Noble Messengers We sent before you were like this – eating food and walking in the markets; and We have made some of you a test for others; so will you, O people, patiently endure? And O dear Prophet, your Lord is All Seeing. 20
