The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
