After we have died and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up again? 47 “And also our forefathers?” 48 Say, "Indeed, the earlier ones and the later ones 49 Will all be brought together to the tryst of an appointed day. 50 Then indeed you, the astray, the deniers – 51 "Ye will surely taste of the Tree of Zaqqum. 52 "Then you will fill your bellies therewith, 53 And thereon ye will drink of boiling water, 54 Drinking the way thirsty camels drink. 55 Such will be their welcome on Judgment Day! 56 We created you; therefore why will you not believe? 57 Behold! that which ye emit. 58 Do you make a human out of it, or is it We Who create? 59 We have decreed among you Death; We shall not be outstripped; 60 in replacing you with another creation like you, changing you into a form which you do not know. 61 And you have indeed learnt about the first creation, so why do you not ponder? 62 Have you considered the seeds you till? 63 Is it you who cultivate it, or is it We Who develop it? 64 If We so wished, We could have reduced your harvest to rubble, and you would have been left wonder-struck to exclaim: 65 crying, "We have been left to suffer loss. 66 Indeed, we have been deprived of the fruits of our labour." 67 Have ye observed the water which ye drink? 68 Is it you who caused it to descend from the cloud, or is it We Who cause it to descend? 69 If We willed, surely We would make it brackish. Wherefore give ye not thanks? 70 Tell Me! The fire which you kindle, 71 Is it you who have brought into being the tree that serves as its fuel - or are We the cause of its coming into being? 72 We Ourselves made it for a reminder, and a boon to the desert-dwellers. 73 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 74
