▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Yes, never!* By oath of the moon. (Hell will never spare the disbelievers). 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 Warn the men. 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 About the guilty: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
