The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heavens with constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
