The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the midmorning, 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
