Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 until you reach your graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
