Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 And surely they used to say: 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
