And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much. (See the Quran Verse 35:45). 30 You are not able to frustrate Him in the earth, nor do you have a guardian and a helper other than Allah. 31 And of His signs are the ships in the sea, like mountains. 32 if He will, He calms the wind so that they remain motionless upon its back, surely, there are signs in this for every thankful, patient (person). 33 Or, He wrecks them for what they have earned, but He pardons a lot. 34 Those who dispute Our verses may know that they have no asylum. 35 That which has been given to you is only the wherewithal of the transient life of this world. But that which is with Allah is better and more enduring for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord; 36 and who shun the more heinous sins and abominations; and who, whenever they are moved to anger, readily forgive; 37 who have pledged their obedience to the Lord, who are steadfast in prayer, who conduct their affairs with consultation among themselves, who spend for the cause of God out of what We have given them, 38 And those who take revenge when rebellion harms them. 39 The recompense of evil is evil the like of it. But he who forgives and makes amends, his reward lies with Allah. Surely He does not love the wrong-doers. 40 Those who defend themselves after they have been wronged cannot be held blameworthy, 41 blame attaches but to those who oppress [other] people and behave outrageously on earth, offending against all right: for them there is grievous suffering in store! 42 But surely he who bears patiently and is forgiving -- surely that is true constancy. 43
