Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Hast thou seen him who cries lies to the Doom? 1 That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness, 2 and does not urge others to feed the needy. 3 Ah, woe unto worshippers 4 who become confused during their prayers, 5 Those who (want but) to be seen (of men), 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

God the Almighty always says the truth.
