۞ And if each unjust soul owned everything that is in the earth, it would have certainly given it in order to redeem itself; and they secretly felt repentant when they saw the punishment; and it has been judged between them with fairness and they will not be wronged. 54 Assuredly, everything that is in the heavens and on the earth belongs to God. Assuredly, God's promise is true. Yet most of them do not realize it. 55 It is He Who giveth life and who taketh it, and to Him shall ye all be brought back. 56 O mankind! The advice has come to you from your Lord and a cure for the hearts – and guidance and mercy for believers. 57 Say: "It is the blessing and mercy of God; so rejoice in it. It is better than all that you amass." 58 Say: "Have you thought of what God has sent you for food, of which you have labelled some as lawful and some forbidden?" And ask: "Has God commanded this, or you are imputing lies to God?" 59 But what do they think - they who attribute their own lying inventions to God - [what do they think will happen to them] on the Day of Resurrection? Behold, God is indeed limitless in His bounty unto men - but most of them are ungrateful. 60
