The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them; 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)! 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 And say: "I am a distinct warner," 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 As to what they did. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 Indeed, We know your chest is straitened by that they say. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
