Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
