O you apostles, eat things that are clean, and do things that are good. We are surely cognisant of what you do. 51 And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me. 52 But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its belief. 53 Leave them in their perplexity for a time. 54 Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Lo! those who go in awe for fear of their Lord. 57 And those who in the signs of their Lord do believe. 58 Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord; 59 And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord;- 60 those, hasten in good works, outracing to them. 61 We do not impose on any soul what is beyond its capacity. We have the Book which speaks the truth and no injustice will be done to it. 62 But their hearts are heedless of this. Moreover, there are other deeds besides this which they do. 63 until We seize with Our chastisement those of them that are given to luxuriant ways. They will then begin to groan. 64 Do not cry out for help this day, for surely you shall not be helped by Us. 65 My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels 66 In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night. 67 Should they not think upon the saying? Or, did anything come upon them that had not come upon their ancient forefathers? 68 Or know they not their messenger, and so reject him? 69 Or say they: There is a madness in him? Nay, but he bringeth them the Truth; and most of them are haters of the Truth. 70 And had the Truth followed their desires, then indeed the heavens and the earth and all those who are in them would be destroyed; in fact We brought to them a thing in which lay their repute, so they are turned away from their own repute. 71 Or, is it that thou askest of them any maintenance? The maintenance of thy Lord is better, and He is the Best of providers. 72 And certainly, you (O Muhammad SAW) call them to a Straight Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 73 but, behold, those who will not believe in the life to come are bound to deviate from that way. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. 75 Already have We grasped them with punishment, but they humble not themselves unto their Lord, nor do they pray, 76 Until when We open upon them a door of severe chastisement, lo! they are in despair at it. 77
