Al-Ahzaab 8 of 9
O Prophet, tell your wives and daughters, and the women of the faithful, to draw their wraps a little over them. They will thus be recognised and no harm will come to them. God is forgiving and kind. 59 ۞ If the hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is a disease, and the alarmists in the city do not cease, We verily shall urge thee on against them, then they will be your neighbours in it but a little while. 60 Accursed wherever they are found, [being] seized and massacred completely. 61 (Such has been) the course of Allah with respect to those who have gone before; and you shall not find any change in the course of Allah. 62 The people will question thee concerning the Hour. Say: 'The knowledge of it is only with God; what shall make thee know? Haply the Hour is nigh.' 63 God has condemned the unbelievers and prepared for them a burning torment 64 therein to abide beyond the count of time: no protector will they find, and none to bring them succour. 65 On the day when their faces are turned over in the Fire, they say: Oh, would that we had obeyed Allah and had obeyed His messenger! 66 And they shall say: 'Our Lord, We obeyed our masters and our eminent ones, but they misled us from the way. 67 Our Lord, let their punishment be doubled; and curse them with a mighty curse' 68

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
