Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 storming tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 As justification or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
