Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf. By the honored Qur'an... 1 No, but they marvel that from among themselves a warner has come to them. The unbelievers say (in mockery): 'This is a marvelous thing! 2 When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return." 3 We know what the earth consumes of them, for We have the Book that preserves everything. 4 But they deny the Truth when it comes to them: so they are in a confused state. 5 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it and beautified it; and it has no cracks; 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. 8 And We have sent down from the heaven water and blest wherewith We have caused gardens to grow and the grain reaped. 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising. 11 (Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood, 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 and the people of Aykah, and the people of Tubba'. They all gave the lie to the Messengers. Thereafter My threat of chastisement against them was fulfilled. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
