The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
HAS THERE [not] been an endless span of time before man [appeared - a time] when he was not yet a thing to be thought of? 1 We created man of a sperm-drop, a mingling, and We made him hearing, seeing. 2 Indeed, We have guided him to the path, he is either grateful or ungrateful. 3 Indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers chains and shackles and a blaze. 4 The virtuous shall drink from a cup tempered with camphor water. 5 a source [of bliss] whereof God's servants shall drink, seeing it flow in a flow abundant. 6 They [are those who] fulfill [their] vows and fear a Day whose evil will be widespread. 7 they give food, for the love of Him, to the needy, the orphan, the captive: 8 They say to them, “We give you food, only for the sake of Allah – we do not seek any reward or thanks from you.” 9 We are afraid of our Lord and the bitterly distressful day". 10 So Allah shall guard them against the woe of that Day, and will procure them freshness and joy, 11 For their patience, He will reward them with Paradise and silk. 12 They will recline therein on couches and they will find neither excessive heat nor cold. 13 And its shade will cover them, and its fruit clusters brought down low for them. 14 They will be served with silver dishes and crystal clear goblets. 15 Crystal-clear, made of silver. They will determine the measure thereof according to their wishes. 16 They will drink cups containing (soft flowing) sparkling water 17 (The water of) a spring therein, named Salsabil. 18 ۞ There boys of everlasting youth shall go about attending them: when you see them, you would think that they are scattered pearls. 19 And when you look there (in Paradise), you will see a delight (that cannot be imagined), and a great dominion. 20 Upon them shall be garments of fine green silk and of brocades. And adorned they shall be with bracelets of silver: and their Lord shall give them drink a beverage pure. 21 "Verily this is a Reward for you, and your Endeavour is accepted and recognised." 22

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
