Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble scribes, 11 They know what you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
