The Town (Al-Balad)
20 verses, revealed in Mecca after Q (Qaaf) before The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by this city -- 1 And thou shalt be allowed in yonder city 2 and by parent and offspring, 3 Certainly We have created man to be in distress. 4 What, does he think none has power over him, 5 He says, "I have spent enormous wealth." 6 Deemest he that none beholdeth him? 7 Have We not made for him two eyes? 8 and a tongue and two lips? 9 And shown him the two highways? 10 Yet, he has not entered into Aqaba 11 and what shall teach thee what is the steep? 12 It is the freeing of a slave 13 Or the giving of food in a day of hunger 14 of an orphan near of kin, 15 Or to the indigent (down) in the dust. 16 And to be of those who believe and exhort one another to perseverance and exhort one another to pity. 17 Such are the Companions of the Right Hand. 18 But those who disbelieve Our revelations, their place will be on the left hand. 19 On them is fire closed over. 20
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
