In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Hath created man from a clot! 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who taught by the Pen, 4 Teacheth man that which he knew not. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 As he considers himself independent! 7 for, behold, unto thy Sustainer all must return. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - 13 Does he not know that God observes all things? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We will now call the guards! 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
