Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
The unbelievers among the People of the Book and the idolaters would never desist until the Clear Proof came to them. 1 An apostle from Allah, reciting pure pages, 2 wherein there are ordinances of ever-true soundness and clarity. 3 And those who are vouchsafed the Book divided not save after there had come unto them the evidence. 4 And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion. 5 Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures. 6 But those who believe, and do righteous deeds, those are the best of creatures; 7 Their reward with Allah will be gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allah being pleased with them and they with Him. That is for whoever has feared his Lord. 8
