Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 You will be shown hell 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that Day, you will be called to account for all the bounties you enjoyed. 8
