The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 when their brother Lot said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 161 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 164 What, do you come to male beings, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Lot, thou shalt assuredly be one of the expelled.' 167 He said: Surely I am of those who utterly abhor your doing; 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 But the rest We destroyed utterly. 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
