Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 upon thy heart, [O Muhammad] so that thou mayest be among those who preach 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 that will come upon them [on resurrection,] all of a sudden, without their being aware [of its approach]; 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 Therefore observe, that if We give them some comforts for some years, 205 And then cometh that which they were promised, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 And We destroyed no township but it had its warners 208 and reminded: for, never do We wrong [anyone]. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 indeed they are debarred from overhearing it. 212 So do not call on any deity besides God, lest you incur His punishment. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 on those who whisper hearsay in the ears of people; and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
True are the words of God the Almighty.
