Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
