Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
