The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 It will engulf them. 8 in outstretched columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
