Or do those in whose hearts is disease think that Allah would never expose their [feelings of] hatred? 29 If We were to so will, We could have shown them to you so that you would recognise them by their faces, and you would certainly know them by the manner of their speech. Allah knows all your deeds. 30 We shall certainly test you until We know those who strive hard for the cause of God and those who exercise patience. We will also examine your deeds. 31 Verily, those who disbelieve, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah (i.e. Islam), and oppose the Messenger (SAW) (by standing against him and hurting him), after the guidance has been clearly shown to them, they will not hurt Allah in the least, but He will make their deeds fruitless, 32 O People who Believe! Obey Allah and obey the Noble Messenger, and do not render your deeds void. 33 ۞ Verily Allah shall not forgive those who disbelieved and barred others from Allah's Way and clung to their unbelief until their death. 34 Therefore do not relax, nor call towards truce by yourself; and it is you who will dominate; and Allah is with you, and He will never cause a loss in your deeds. 35 The life of this world is but sport and amusement. If you believe and are God-fearing, He will grant you your reward, and will not ask you for your possessions. 36 Should He ask for your possessions you would be niggardly as it would be hard for you to give. Thus, He would make your malice become public. 37 Yes, undoubtedly it is you who are being called, that you may spend in Allah’s way; so some among you act miserly; and whoever is miserly, is being a miser upon himself; and Allah is the Independent (Wealthy – Not requiring anything), whereas you all are needy; and if you renege, He will replace you with other people – and they will not be like you. 38
