And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
