Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
