When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 the people of Pharaoh, will they not fear God? 11 He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” 12 And I shall be embarrassed, and my tongue will not speak plainly, therefor send for Aaron (to help me). 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they shall slay me. 14 He said: by no means. So go ye twain with Our signs; verily We shall be with you listening. 15 “Therefore approach Firaun then proclaim, ‘We both are Noble Messengers of the Lord Of The Creation.’ 16 let the Children of Israel go with us!'" 17 Fir'awn said: brought we not thee up amongst us as a child? And thou tarriedst amongst us for many years of thy life? 18 and you did the deed which you did. You are certainly ungrateful." 19 He said: I did it then while I was of those unable to see the right course; 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord bestowed on me wisdom and made me one of the sent ones. 21 But the favour you oblige me with is that you have enslaved the children of Israel." 22 The Pharaoh asked: "And what is the Lord of all the worlds?" 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord and Cherisher of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- if ye want to be quite sure." 24 Fir'awn said unto those around him: hear ye not? 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients.' 26 (Pharaoh) said: Lo! your messenger who hath been sent unto you is indeed a madman! 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 Pharaoh said, "If you put forward any god other than me, I will surely put you in prison". 29 [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?" 30 (Pharaoh) said: "Show it then, if thou tellest the truth!" 31 He cast down his staff and thereupon it was a clear serpent. 32 and he drew his hand (out of his armpit) and lo! it had become a shining object to the beholders. 33
