The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 in columns outstretched. 9
God the Almighty always says the truth.
