Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
