Believers, obey God and His Messenger, and do not turn away from him now that you have heard all. 20 Do not be like those who said that they have heard (the Messenger's commands) but do not pay any attention to them. 21 ۞ Surely the worst of beasts in God's sight are those that are deaf and dumb and do not understand. 22 And if Allah had known any good in them He would have made them hear, and if He makes them hear they would turn back while they withdraw. 23 O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and the messenger when He calleth you to that which quickeneth you, and know that Allah cometh in between the man and his own heart, and that He it is unto Whom ye will be gathered. 24 And fear tumult or oppression, which affecteth not in particular (only) those of you who do wrong: and know that Allah is strict in punishment. 25 Remember, when you were few and powerless in the land, afraid of despoliation at the hands of men. But then God sheltered and helped you to strength, and provided for you good things that you may perhaps be grateful. 26 O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts while you know [the consequence]. 27 And know that your property and your children are a temptation, and that Allah is He with Whom there is a mighty reward. 28
