So when the apostles came to Lut's followers, 61 He said: "Ye appear to be uncommon folk." 62 'No' they replied: 'We bring you (news) of that concerning which they were doubting. 63 And we have come to you with the truth, and we are most surely truthful. 64 "Then travel by night with thy household, when a portion of the night (yet remains), and do thou bring up the rear: let no one amongst you look back, but pass on whither ye are ordered." 65 And [through Our messengers] We revealed unto him this decree: "The last remnant of those [sinners] shall be wiped out in the morn." 66 And the inhabitants of the city came rejoicing (at the news of the young men's arrival). 67 He said: verily these are my guests, so disgrace me not. 68 “And fear Allah and do not disgrace me.” 69 They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people?" 70 He said: Here are my daughters, if ye must be doing (so). 71 By thy life, in their intoxication they were wandering bewildered. 72 and the Cry seized them at the sunrise, 73 We turned the town upside down and rained upon them stones of clay. 74 There are great Signs in this for those endowed with intelligence. 75 And surely it is on a road that still abides. 76 Indeed there is a portent in this for those who believe. 77 And indeed the Dwellers of the Woods were unjust. 78 So We punished them too. They are both situated by the highway, clearly visible. 79
