Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Have We not expanded your chest for you (Prophet Muhammad), 1 and lift from thee thy burden, 2 that had well-nigh broken your back? 3 have We not given you high renown? 4 Indeed, hardship is followed by ease, 5 surely, with every hardship there is ease. 6 Hence, when thou art freed [from distress,] remain steadfast, 7 And make your Lord your exclusive object. 8
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
