The Poets (Alshu'araa')
227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Sin Mim 1 These are the verses of the Book that makes (things) clear. 2 It may be that thou tormentest thyself (O Muhammad) because they believe not. 3 We could send down from the heavens a sign to them if We pleased, before which their heads would remain bowed. 4 Never cometh there unto them a fresh reminder from the Beneficent One, but they turn away from it. 5 Surely they have done with denying; soon will come to them the news of what they were laughing at. 6 What, have they not regarded the earth, how many therein We have caused to grow of every generous kind? 7 Verily, in this is an Ayah (proof or sign), yet most of them (polytheists, pagans, etc., who do not believe in Resurrection) are not believers. 8 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
